01 · The $34 Learning Plan Session
What happens in a
Learning Plan Session?
Every Keats Learning Academy student starts with a Learning Plan Session, for group classes and private tutoring alike. The session is 45 minutes with a senior Keats tutor and costs $34 plus GST. It is for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, at our Lynn Valley (North Vancouver) or Kitsilano centre, or online. Your child works through one subject from the BC curriculum, and you get a written plan for each subject you want help with.
- STAGE 01 · TEACH
A real lesson, not a test
Your child works through a concept sheet for their grade, and the tutor teaches along the way.
- STAGE 02 · DIAGNOSE
How your child learns best
The session shows whether your child learns best by seeing, by guided repetition or by listening, and which concepts are missing.
- STAGE 03 · PLAN
A written learning plan
Right after the 45 minutes, you receive a learning plan with the results, the gaps we found, and what each session will look like. If it is not ready then, we email it within 24 hours.
- STAGE 04 · MATCH
An honest recommendation
A parent joins us at the end to go through the plan. We recommend a group class in math or English, or private tutoring in any subject. If your child does not need tutoring, we will tell you.
